The Dead Weather recently released their second album "Sea of Cowards" and it has quickly become a favourite of mine. The side project of Jack White and Alison Mosshart has a real dirty, loose jamband sound that you've gotta check out. Here's a track as a taste, you have to hear it in full though.

OC Fall / Winter 2010
Recently, Opening Ceremony have unveilled some of the looks from their upcoming fall / winter menswear collection. The line contains a wide range of styles and easily wearable pieces. As usual the brand produces a strong balance in pattern and fabric choice, blending it into traditional silhouettes to come out with a casual, everyday type wear. Below are some of my favourite looks.

Business men in their own rights...
Here are two men, equally well dressed, with direction in their look, and carry a certain sense of modesty. There is no doubt in my mind that every garment each of them are wearing have a purpose and are not a mistake. Pink socks....Cmon! And the other fellow, perfection.
I don't really know why, but lately I have had the urge to buy a pair of painters pants, with the denim hammer loop holster, and the thick stitch heavy duty pockets, and just junk them up with dirt and paint and wear them. This might sound completely off hand and foolish, but I think if you rolled them up to a 3/4 length, ripped them a bit, and threw on a decent plaid, it would be a fairly gnarly look... I dunno, I'm just sayin!

Franklin and Marshall

So lately I have been shopping online to fill up my wardrobe nicely with spring and summer items that will be game changers all summer long. It has treated me fairly well actually, with a lot of my purchases being on sale or free of shipping. I think that it is key actually... to be able to know where you can save money on your overall personal look and where to just open up the wallet and throw away 'silly flow.'
A brand that has consistantly killed it every season is an Italian sportswear label by the name of Franklin And Marshall. With their somewhat preppy IV league casual wear, and classic fraternity looks, they never fail to impress me. I have also been going through their women's collections, most of the items are very summer appropriate and carry a certain sense of direction and style. I have kept this brand dear to me for a while now, and there have been many days when I would go out on the hunt for strictly Franklin and Marshall items, just because of their quality and fit, and when Nathan or myself ever did come across a hidden gem, it was so rewarding. So check it out, see what you think, and support this great brand.
But not too hard!

Vampire Weekend
This song has been stuck in my head forever. It's off the 'Contra' album released earlier this year by New York indie-rock band, Vampire Weekend. So good, LISTEN!

Everybody Loves Terry
Pharrell and Lupe are next on Terry Richardson's list. Seems like everybody who's anybody is getting in on this classic white-wall shoot with the man himself. Who's next?

Drake - Over
Here's the video for the new Drizzy single. I have to admit, when i first heard this song i was pretty disappointed, but it's growing on me.
This is definitely not your standard hip-hop video, it's got some nice visuals and cool effects.

Porche 550 Spyder by KAWS
Pharrell and Chad Hugo of N.E.R.D were spotted in LA lastnight rollin in Pharrell's original 550 Spyder done up by none other than artist Brian Donnelly aka KAWS, creative director of OriginalFake. I'm a fan of the graphics and art of KAWS, but I don't know about this... Its a bit much, but I guess thats how Pharrell does it.
